At the back of our grounds, we have a special nature area.

The OECC property backs up against the heavily wooded area along Oberlin's scenic bikepath. This is the home for numerous species of birds, squirrels, insects, deer, woodchucks, rabbits, and many other animals.

Part of the nature area is set aside as a wild meadow where the children can explore the plants and fauna that inhabit this other ecosystem. OECC's unique setting gives our children an unparalleled closeness to nature and teaches them an appreciation of the natural world around them.
The summer activities for the children include the planting and tending of a small flower and vegetable garden. The children experience the miracle of growth first hand and reap the benefits of their hard work and diligence at the end of the summer!

Shall we head back towards the main activity areas?

Can we take a look at the Outdoor Playscape?

Let's head towards the main building.

I'm ready to head straight inside.

Can I return to the OECC home page?
