OECC believes that engaging outdoor activities are an integral
and important part of a child's development. With this in mind,
we developed one of our newest additions, the Outdoor Playscape.
|
|
The Outdoor Playscape consists of a collection of activity centers
for the children. These centers are designed to encourage creativity,
learning and interaction between the children.
Here, we see the OECC train depot with its very own and very real
caboose! This area encourages role-playing.

This is the creative arts center of the Playscape where
children can paint, sculpt, and make other arts and crafts. |
| The Playscape even has its own theater where the children
can put on shows, plays and other performances, complete with sturdy,
built-in musical instruments. |

The outdoor facilities of OECC are one its most important assets.
There are few things better for the proper development of a child
than the freedom of being able to interact with nature, their peers
and their teachers in a beautiful, natural setting.
